Health and Safety Exhibition en

2018-04-12

On 10th – 12th April, IRATA were present at the ‘Health and Safety Exhibition’ at the NEC in Birmingham, alongside fellow members of the Access Industry Forum (AIF). The event was very well organised by Western Business Exhibitions, who kindly invited all AIF members to exhibit their access systems.

The collaborative efforts of the Access Industry Forum (AIF) uniquely provided a ‘one stop shop’ for information about best practice when working at height, equipment standards, training, general education and expert knowledge. The event also marked the launch of the ‘No Falls’ charity. The charity aims to raise awareness of life-changing consequences and fatalities following a fall from height. Members of the AIF whole heartedly support this charity, and were delighted to see the official debut of the organisation.

On Tuesday 10th April, IRATA’s Technical Officer, Adam Wainwright, was selected to be part of an expert panel that discussed working at height and preventing falls. The panel also responded to questions from the floor.

IRATA would like to thank their fellow AIF members for continuing to work together for the benefit of the work at height sector, and Western Business Exhibitions for holding such a worthwhile event. A special thank you is reserved for Paul Blud (IRATA UK RAC Chair) and Iain Tindall (IRATA UK RAC Chair) who supported the Head Office Team representing IRATA at the event.

The next ‘Health and Safety Exhibition’ will take place September 12th-13th 2018, at the SEC in Glasgow, please visit www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk to register your interest in attending the event.
