Held at the prestigious Guildhall, London, with the support of the City of London Corporation, the LWAHS 2018 provided a fantastic forum for discussion, creating the opportunity for the work at height (WAH) community to engage and collaborate with key influencers, including Local Government Authorities, Procurement Professionals, Health and Safety Professionals, Building and Facilities Managers and all other professionals who have an interest in working at height within the City of London and beyond.

The LWAHS aims to facilitate two-way education and knowledge sharing in the interest of safety awareness and improving industry best practice. The event encourages open lines of communication, setting the platform for mutual collaboration as attendees come together to seek joint solutions to identified challenges within the WAH community. This is echoed in the impartiality of speakers, who, through identification of common goals, present their knowledge for the benefit of the whole WAH community. The LWAHS thereby presents a balanced view and brings together the ‘right’ stakeholders, as key topics and industry innovations are presented and discussed and a variety of our work at height methodologies demonstrated.

At the LWAHS 2018, we were delighted to welcome Glasgow Central MP, Alison Thewliss, who talked on the ‘All Party Parliamentary Group on Working at Height’; and Prof Rhona Flin (PhD, FBPsS, FRSE, FRAeS, FRCSEd) who provided an insightful presentation on her specialist subject, ‘Human Factors’.

Member representatives of the Access Industry Forum (AIF), the forum for the principal trade associations and federations involved in work at height, were on hand to share their knowledge and expertise in their respective fields and answer attendees’ questions.

We are delighted to confirm that the London Work at Height Seminar 2019 will return to the Guildhall, London on 12th July 2019 and we take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the City of London Corporation for their continued support.
