Australasia RAC Chair, Troy Beaumont, met with Antarctica New Zealand’s operations and engineering team to discuss IRATA’s safety management system and the current work-at-height requirements for safe operations in Antarctica.

Antarctica New Zealand is the government agency responsible for carrying out New Zealand’s activities in Antarctica, supporting world-leading science and environmental protection.

Following the meeting, RAC chair Troy Beaumont commented, “It was great to meet with the operations and engineering team to see how IRATA can support Antarctic operations and the fantastic work that is being undertaken to enable world-leading science and to continue to uphold Antarctica NZ values of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean: Valued, Protected, Understood. We look forward to continued discussions.”
