We are excited to announce that IRATA’s Technician Portal has been rebranded to IRATA TechConnect. This web-based platform has been designed to streamline and simplify how Technicians manage their IRATA records online.
A New Way to Stay Connected
Through IRATA TechConnect, Technicians can:
- View and update their contact details
- View assessment results, history, recertification due dates, and eligibility requirements
- Access key IRATA documents and policies directly
- Browse job opportunities from IRATA Member Companies
- Easily order replacement certificates and ID cards
And coming soon:
- Access digital certification
Important Information for Training Member Companies
From 30 May 2025, all Technicians undergoing IRATA assessments – including new candidates registering for Level 1 – must be registered on IRATA TechConnect prior to their assessment.
Trainer Member Companies (TMCs) can support candidates with the registration process, but all candidates must be fully onboarded and added to the IOS Assessment Day Form (ADF) at least 48 hours before their scheduled assessment.
Before 30 May 2025, new candidates registering for Level 1 can be added to an ADF in one of two ways:
- By entering their details manually, as usual; or
- If they have registered with IRATA TechConnect, by simply entering their assigned IRATA number and surname.
To prevent duplicate profiles and avoid delays in the verification process during this transition period, TMCs should check whether new Level 1 candidates have already signed up for IRATA TechConnect and have an existing IOS profile. Before adding a candidate to an ADF, enter their surname and date of birth into the technician search page. If a profile is found, add the candidate to the ADF using their existing IRATA number and surname.
We’ve created a poster to help TMCs raise awareness of this change. You can find a copy of the IRATA TechConnect sign-up poster here.
The IRATA Online System User Guide [GU-151ENG] will be updated with the changes shortly.
How to Register
Technicians and candidates can get started by visiting the registration page here, where they can access the IRATA TechConnect registration form and create a new account by following the on-screen instructions.
During the onboarding process, Technicians will be required to provide one of the following valid forms of photo identification:
- Passport (preferred)
- Driving licence
- Government-issued photo ID
Please ensure that all documents are current, clearly legible, and unexpired.
