The testing of the ‘Rope Access Manager Rope Access Safety Supervisor’ (RAMRASS) ‘eLearning’ platform commenced 16th March 2018. Thirty-six (36) IRATA volunteers were randomly selected from an international pool of member companies, auditors and assessors. Testing of the bespoke, IRATA designed, software will continue for a period of two weeks. Following this, a survey will be sent to all participants requesting their valuable feedback.
Working Group 3, of the IRATA Equipment Standards Committee (ESC), will be reviewing the feedback at their next meeting in May 2018. Following their review, programming for any agreed software updates will commence.
Once the software platform design is completed, a further period of software testing will be carried out, followed by a period of testing the full RAMRASS online course. Subject to any additional software programming, the Working Group are hopeful that the RAMRASS course will be launched before the end of 2018.
