IRATA International has appointed Mark Rasmussen as its Marketing, Communications and Events Officer at its UK headquarters. Mark, whose background includes over 30 years in marketing, 10 of which were within the construction industry, is excited by the role, “IRATA is without doubt the leading authority on rope access across the world” he said, “there is so much to communicate to its members, technicians, and the wider industry”.

IRATA CEO Dr Sheila Kondaveeti said about the appointment, “Mark brings wide experience in a range of disciplines within marketing and is busy working alongside the Head Office team to refine IRATA’s communications strategy with members, promote member’s interests in our industry, and review our website.”

Looking forward, Mark is helping to prepare for our member’s annual IRATA Technical Event and Conference (ITEC), this year taking place at the ICE Congress Center in Kraków between 8th and 9th October. “It will be my first chance to meet delegates from our member companies” says Mark, “it will also be an opportunity for me to learn about the latest developments from industry experts and the association’s committees.”
