IRATA Rope Access Course (All Levels)

The duration of the course is 5 days, 4 days training plus 1 day's assessment by an external IRATA Assessor. IRATA Level 1: Pre Requisites - Candidates must be physically fit and able to carry out the procedure detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment. The candidate must be 18 years of age. Medical Certificate: A current medical certificate stating that you are fit for work at height or provide copy of signed "Statement of Medical Condition" Course content includes: Working at Height Legislation, Rope Manoeuvres on a Pre-Rigged Course, Horizontal Aid Climbing, Rescue, Fall Arrest. IRATA Level 2: Pre-Requisites: Current certification at Level 1. 1000 logged rope hours. A minimum of one year's experience working at IRATA Level 1 or above. Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment. Medical Certificate: A current medical certificate stating that you are fit for work at height or provide copy of signed "Statement of Medical Condition" IRATA ID Card: Showing in date Level 1 on the day of assessment. Up to date IRATA Logbook: Minimum 1000 hours logged. 12 month work experience as Level 1. Course content includes: Use of Tensioned Ropes, Vertical Aid Climbing, Rigging, Advanced Rescue, Hauling Systems. IRATA Level 3: Pre-Requisites: Current certification at Level 2. 1000 logged rope hours at IRATA Level 2 or above. A minimum of one year's experience working at IRATA Level 2 or above. Current First Aid at Work Certificate. Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment. Medical Certificate: A current medical certificate stating that you are fit for work at height or provide copy of signed "Statement of Medical Condition". IRATA ID Card: Showing in date Level 2 on the day of assessment, First Aid Training Certificate, Up to Date IRATA Logbook: Minimum 1000 hours logged. 12 months work as Level 2. Course content includes: Working at Height Legislation as Level 2, Vertical Aid Climbing, Advanced Rescue, Fall Arrest, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Equipment Inspection. Assessments or Re-Assessments - Requirements as above for each level.
