London Work at Height Seminar 2017

13/07/2017

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural London Work at Height Seminar, this year’s event took place on 10th July, and was once again held in the prestigious venue of London’s Guildhall building.

As working at height continues to be a key part of the construction industry, making the workplace a safer place was and, continues to be, the overarching theme of the London Work At Height Seminar. Combining speakers from a wide variety of working at height disciplines, and exhibitions from many industry specialists, the seminar provided a day of information, idea sharing, and interaction to an audience of work at height specialists. IRATA’s Equipment & Standards Committee Chairman, Jonathan Capper gave an excellent presentation on future developments at IRATA and addressed some misconceptions about rope access and membership.

Speaking on the day were regulators, governing bodies, trade associations and a variety of leading industry specialists who delivered a message of collaboration and information sharing across many specialised work at height industries. This message was very well received by all present with networking, idea sharing and collaboration also being a key objective throughout the day.

Organised by IRATA, on behalf of the City of London Corporation, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the UK HSE, our guest speakers, exhibitors, and attendees who all contributed to the success of this year’s event, and we look forward to next year’s event as this seminar grows from strength to strength.
