Job Description
Acuren Group Inc. (Acuren) is currently hiring certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians for permanent assignments across the Western Region. Travel may be required in these positions. The start date is immediate. These roles are full time (averaging 160 hours per month), with an hourly wage rate starting at $48.00 CDN, straight time. Overtime of 1.5X is payable as per relevant provincial employment standards. Additional premiums are payable for evening or night shift, and where additional relevant technical qualifications are present.
The IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician is responsible for safety management, work site organization and planning, and the supervision of others performing a variety of work while suspended from ropes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology to manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize work functions specific to rope access jobs and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights. The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.
Education and Skills Requirements:
• IRATA Level 3 Certification required
• A thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications, and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and hauling and advanced rescue techniques
• A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician working within a variety of industrial environments.
• Current first aid certification
• A valid drivers’ license is preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
• Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions
• Physical and psychological fitness, with the ability to successfully submit to drug and alcohol testing on a random schedule
Extended health and dental benefits will be provided after 90 days. Emergency medical coverage will be provided if required until the 90 days period is met or a provincial health card is obtained. RRSP contributions are matched up to company plan limits following 6 months of continuous employment.
Relocation benefits of up to $10000 are available with the submission of receipts to support the movement of personnel to the required work locations.
